Sarah et les fantômes

Oil · 2026

This work explores the contrast between modern life and eternity. Against the backdrop of a cemetery bathed in a vibrant pink sky, a majestic statue evokes tradition and the unchanging. Beside it, a contemporary figure captures the fleeting nature of modern existence. Hands in pockets, sipping a drink, the character introduces a casual and ephemeral note that stands in stark contrast to the solemnity of the surrounding crosses. The soft pink hues defy the expected gloom of such a setting, creating an atmosphere that is both dreamlike and introspective. The artist invites reflection on the passage of time and the coexistence of the modern and the ancient, revealing a poignant scene that questions our relationship with mortality and memory.
